The duo had gotten married in 1997 after having known each other for an extensive period of time which was characterised by 5 years of dating. During the course of that process, they welcomed three children together: Cali, Marcella and Castor.
But it is claimed that James decided to file earlier this year, which has now ended that relationship. Nevertheless, they are still in contact and maintain a good relationship for the sake of their children.
In addition, James has spoken warmly over Francesca in the past by crediting her for the way that she managed to help him get over his substance abuse issues. And at a time where that could have destroyed the whole family unit it was greatly welcomed.
In a prior interview with Joe Rogan. James said: “She kicked my ass right out of the house and that scared the s—t out of me. She said, ‘Hey, you’re not just going to the therapist now, and talking about this, you’ve got to go somewhere and sort this s–t out,’ so that’s what I did.”
It is not exactly clear why they decided to end their relationship now, but perhaps the struggles with his drinking and anger may have taken a toll on the marriage. And as Francesca had become so accustomed to seeing James struggle with his demons, perhaps it may have reached a point where this could not have been tolerated any longer.
The fans on social media did not have many warm words for James. They were of the view that Francesca had sacrificed so much to make the marriage work only for James to throw it down the drain.
One person wrote: “She basically saved his pathetic life when he was almost lost to severe alcoholism… She also gave birth to and raised his children. She deserves every cent.”
