Meghan Markle has revealed that her son Archie could have been injured when his nursery was on fire.

This revelation arrived on the back end of the Duchess of Sussex’s first appearance on her “Archetypes” podcast that aired on Spotify. During the course of that process, Meghan admitted that this was an opportunity for her to be unfiltered. And much in line with that, she opened up on some very personal matters.

As she and Prince Harry were finishing off their duties on their royal South African tour, they were informed that there had been a fire. However, luckily for the couple, their nanny (Lauren) had decided to take Archie for a snack so they were not in the baby room where the fire had started.

When speaking about her experience with Serena Williams, this is what Meghan had to say: “He was supposed to be sleeping in there. Of course, as a mother, you go, ‘Oh, my God.’ Everyone’s in tears, everyone’s shaken.”

Things were not made any easier, though, as the couple had no time to digest what had happened. Rather than being able to spend some time with Archie and make sure that everything was fine, the pair had no choice but to leave him behind.

This was on the basis that they had a royal engagement to deal with, something which had to take precedent. And that was something that left Meghan a little shaken. Her following comments confirmed as much: “We did. We had to leave our baby.

“Even though we were being moved to another place afterwards, we still had to leave him and go do another official engagement.” The fans on social media were not convinced by Meghan’s account. This was on the grounds of her prior Oprah Winfrey interview, which some felt was not honest.

One person wrote: “True? Doubtful or highly embellished from the past history of the story teller.” So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
