Piers Morgan opened up on his opinion regarding cancel culture, as his experience with Meghan Markle came to the fore.
Meghan Markle Tried To Make Me Apologize For Not ‘Believing Her Lies,’ Says Piers Morgan
It is fair to say that Piers does not hold Meghan in high regard. He infamously questioned whether the Duchess of Sussex’s claims that a member of the firm had reservations over Archie’s skin color were true. This was on the grounds that neither she nor Prince Harry named the person in question. He has also accused the pair of trying to set up a renegade Royal Family.
And given that Morgan ended up leaving his job as a host on ‘Good Morning Britain,’ for refusing to back down on his opinions about Meghan, it is fair to say that he does know a thing or two about cancel culture.
In his comments, he said: “[Meghan] then contacts the boss of my company, ITV — a big network in the U.K. — and she says, ‘You’ve got to fire him for not believing me. It’s racist.
“So they basically put me in a position where either I apologize publicly to Meghan Markle for just [not] believing her lies, or I had to leave, so I decided to leave.” Clearly, Morgan felt that the Duchess of Sussex had a part to play in him being removed, which may explain why he is not her biggest fan.
And as Harry’s memoir, Spare, has also been called out for having inaccuracies, it has created an element of distrust around the couple. And this was reflected in the comments that followed on social media. One person wrote: “I know you owe her no apologies. The woman is pure evil in my opinion. What she and Harry have done to his family is wrong.”
It is fair to say that Piers and Meghan will not be reconciling anytime soon. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
