British Royal Family News find that in her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday night, Meghan Markle says that she wasn’t given the same kind of support or protection from all of the false tabloid narratives as her sister-in-law Kate Middleton from the royal family.
As a matter of fact, during her sit-down interview with the Queen of All Media, Meghan compared her racist tabloid coverage to some of the rude headlines that included Kate Middleton’s name in it. Here’s what you need to know.

During their interview with Oprah, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle talked about a number of things, including racism within the royal family and the British press, how Meghan experienced suicidal thoughts during her pregnancy and how Prince Charles stopped taking Prince Harry’s phone calls after their decision to step away from their roles as full-time working members of the royal family.
Yet both Harry and Meghan said that all of the tabloid attacks and alleged lack of support from the royal family was part of their reason why they decided to leave royal life behind. Meghan even gave an example of how Kate Middleton was attacked by the media compared to her personal attacks.
“Kate was called Waity Katie, waiting to marry William, while I imagine that was really hard and I do… this is not the same and if a member of his family will comfortably say we’ve all had to deal with things that are rude. Rude & racist are not the same,” Meghan explained in a new clip that aired Monday on CBS This Morning.
What’s more, the Duchess of Sussex also said that Kate Middleton was given a press time to help handle some of the negative headlines with her name in it while she didn’t receive the same treatment.
Harry then went on to describe a moment in which someone told him not to go against the British press.
“One of the people at that dinner said to me, ‘Please don’t. Please don’t do this with the media.’ They will destroy your life. This person is friends with a lot of the editors. So I said, ‘Just elaborate by what you mean by that?’ He said, ‘You need to understand the U.K. is very bigoted.’ I stopped and I said, ‘The U.K. is not bigoted. The U.K. press is bigoted, specifically the tabloids. Is that what you mean?’” he explained.
