It appears Meghan Markle is not content with how she was depicted in the “South Park” episode entitled, “The Worldwide Privacy Tour.”
Meghan Markle Outraged By South Park Parody-‘Refuses To Watch It’
Despite not specifically being named, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were portrayed in the episode as Canadian royalty. This was done to imitate the couple in a satirical way, as they requested privacy while still garnering attention.
The prince and his spouse were dressed in an identical dusty pink clothing that strongly reminded the public of the duchess’ outfit for the Trooping the Colour in 2018. Moreover, they were also promoting the prince’s book entitled “Waaagh”, which was a parody of Prince Harry’s best-selling autobiography “Spare”.
During the episode, the prince and his spouse arrived on the broadcast “Good Morning Canada” with posters calling for privacy. Soon after, they took a seat and talked about the prince’s new book.
And given that the show ridiculed some of the major concerns put forward by the Sussexes, it appears that this has been hard to take. A source confirmed the following: “[She is] upset and overwhelmed, [and is] annoyed by South Park but refuses to watch it all.”
As such, this led to suggestions that Harry and Meghan’s legal team may be keeping an eye on things. That was the view of royal expert Neil Sean. While it is not clear that if the couple would respond, the fact of the matter is that it does not show the Sussexes in a positive light.
In his comments, Sean remarked: “Their legal team are casting an eye over the episode to see what is wrong, and what could be turned into something more sinister. This appears to be their course of action rather than laughing it off.”
It is fair to say that this was not the couple’s finest moment. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
