Meghan Markle spoke out to defend her and Prince Harry’s new website despite the backlash she and her husband have been experiencing.

Meghan Markle Used the Same Company Who Designed “The Tig”

Harry and Meghan’s rebrand of their site has upset royal fans due to its poor and insensitive timing. The site seems to reflect Prince Harry and Meghan’s inability to move forward without at least partly using the royal family to garner attention.

Of course, the Duchess talks around the issue, praising the team that worked on her site in her glowing testimonial,

“There is a reason I have worked with Ryan and the talented team at Article for a decade: “their attention to detail, their creativity and care, and the thoughtful approach to design as well as to the user experience.”

    Meghan continues,

“They’re not just designers, they are collaborators who elevate your ideas into visual identities. They’re a very special company. Plus, they’re Canadian, so I am a fan.”

The company also worked on Meghan’s now-defunct site, “The Tig.”  Sources close to Buckingham Palace say that this presents Lord Chamberlain with a problem.

Lord Chamberlain is one of the superior officers of the royal family and controls the state business, overseeing all departments at Windsor Castle. He also supports and guides the King on matters such as these.

Chamberlain is the one who will determine the fate of the website. He will figure out what to do, whether dealing directly with Harry and Meghan or letting it go to avoid adding to the royal row.

When the Duke and Duchess stepped down as working royals in 2020, they made an agreement with Buckingham Palace that they would not use their HRH titles or even the word “royal” for commercial purposes.

The Rebrand Comes As Meghan Has Scored a New Podcast Deal

The website they had originally, called Sussex Royal, was also banned. It has been said that Lord Chamberlain is having a “real headache” over what he should do about Harry and Meghan’s new site.

Many are saying that the site was in betrayal of their agreement with Queen Elizabeth.  The agreement was established when they left for California four years ago.

The site features some segments from their royal life. Meghan’s coat of arms is used, as well as their royal titles.

Sources close to the Palace claim that the couple did not ask for permission from palace officials to use these titles before relaunching their site.

However, the website relaunch does make sense, considering Meghan’s new podcast deal with Lemonada. She is obviously planning a significant comeback.

A source close to the couple says,

“Prince Harry and Meghan are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. That is a fact. It is their surname and family name.”

The Palace has not commented on the new site. The main focus should be on the King now instead of bringing more attention to Harry and Meghan.

Another source close to the Palace explains,

“Buckingham Palace may have its hands tied in taking action. The King has other things he needs to focus on at the moment, and the last thing His Majesty needs is another fight with his son. But this won’t go down well at all.”
