Meghan Markle showed up in New York City earlier today with her husband, Prince Harry, and lectured an audience at the Time 100 Summit over her “mistakes” with her Netflix show, “With Love, Meghan,” and her As Ever lifestyle brand.
Time CEO Jessica Sibley Conducted A Softball Interview With Meghan
The CEO of Time, Jessica Sibley, did a lackluster job interviewing the Duchess. Meghan admitted she made several mistakes while trying to launch three business ventures at once. These included her Netflix show, the As Ever brand, and the new Lemonada podcast.
Meghan Markle, who came across as an overbearing perfectionist on her Netflix series, discussed how she was just “doing what she loved” and wanted to share it with her fans.
What she doesn’t seem to understand is that people only watched her show to see if it was as abysmal as the critics said it was. The reviews of “With Love, Meghan” were scathing, and her As Ever products were mercilessly slammed.
Meghan Markle has received intense backlash and ridicule for her business failures. She claimed that after launching three ventures at the same time, she decided to “give herself the space and grace to make mistakes.”
The host, Sibley, laughably congratulated the former royal over her series being renewed when they had already filmed season two prior to the announcement.
Sibley’s fake and contrived kissing up to Meghan over her so-called achievements was highly agitating. Sibley remarked about her podcast, “Confessions of a Female Founder,” and it was obvious PR was probably arranged by Meghan’s team.
In addition, it surfaced earlier this week that Meghan tried to book celebrities like Beyonce and Taylor Swift on her podcast, but no one has responded to her invites.
Meghan’s “Mistakes” Are More Like Catastrophic Failures
One source close to the production claimed, “The show is not landing.” They continued, “There’s no Taylor Swift. No Beyonce. Not even a Hailey Bieber. And when you are pitching female empowerment, that’s a problem.”
They added, “It speaks volumes for her pulling power. She’s not happy about her lack of appeal.”
When Sibley asked about her being “under a microscope,” Meghan explained she has made a “very conscious effort to create boundaries for herself, her well-being, and mental health.”
Meghan refuses to admit the train wreck, which is her career. It’s jarring to see someone so self-centered and lacking in self-awareness.
Meghan promoted a brand she first called American Riviera Orchard. This was before she even acquired the trademark rights to own the name. To any competent businesswoman, it would be hugely embarrassing.
These aren’t little mistakes; these are catastrophic failures. Meghan also spoke about Archie losing his first tooth. This was an interesting coincidence, considering that we just saw Prince Louis’s birthday photo rocking his toothless grin.
She also took the time to mention her precious flower sprinkles, how much joy it gives her to sprinkle edible flowers on everything, and how magical it is, which seemed not only fake but also super unnecessary.
Meghan wouldn’t let them ask a single serious question. The interview was basically a puff piece to inflate Meghan’s already enormous ego.
Not surprisingly, despite the savage criticism she’s received, Meghan insisted at the Time100 Summit that she’s “the happiest she’s ever been.”
