The duo have become one of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples of late, and yet, their relationship was out of the blue. Pete’s comedy career did not fit in line with the reality world that Kim is from.
But that has not fazed them one bit, as they continue to go on strong, despite the initial hesitancy. And this was hinted by Martha, who did not envisage that the pair would have ended up getting together.
In an interview with E News, she said: “[They are] an unlikely pairing and much, much more unlikely than my steak tartare and Ruffles potato chips.” Martha is fully aware of the kind of person that Pete is after having formed a very good friendship with him.
Just recently, she had shared a throwback video of the comedian during a time that she had met him ten years ago. And ever since that moment, they have stayed close, which was shown when she attended this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner alongside Kim.
In the picture here, we can see that Pete is standing in the middle, while Kim and Martha are on either side. On closer inspection, Martha can be seen clutching the comedian’s hand very tightly.
With that being said, it is not surprising then that she has approved their relationship. She stated: “They seem to have a nice affection for one another, which is so nice.” The response from the fans on social media, however, was not quite the same.
People were of the view that Pete was not exactly someone spectacular, particularly since the only person he had to go up against was Kanye West, who had proven to be very divisive. One person wrote: “Anyone is better than #KanyeWest !
