Mama June Shannon from Mama June: Family Crisis has been asking her fans for all of the prayers that they can give. Her daughter, Anna Cardwell was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer and has been fighting for her life ever since. She had started treatment and there were times where her family wasn’t sure how much longer she would make it.
June recently shared a post for Anna as a way to memorialize her and share with fans that she had lost the battle to cancer. Her family was standing by her and keeping fans updated since May, but now they are grieving their loss. Let’s find out more about June’s latest post.
Mama June: June Shares Anna’s Death
On December 9, June took to Instagram to share with her fans that Anna had died. Back in July, she told her fans, “For me, it’s an emotional rollercoaster sometimes. Mentally, it’s always on my mind. We know it’s terminal. She’s Stage 4. She’s not gonna go into remission. We’ve all accepted that, so I just tell people one day at a time ’cause you never know.”
June’s husband, Justin Stroud, shared a picture of the entire family on the set of their show. He wrote, “Please keep our family in your prayers as we lost one of our angels last night. She passed away last night in our home peacefully with the people that were important to her. Please be respectful and we will keep y’all updated with everything. We love you, Anna Banana.”
June’s post read, “With the breaking heart, we are announcing that Anna is no longer with us. She passed away in my home last night peacefully at 11:12 PM. She gave one hell of a fight for 10 months. She passed away with her family around her and we will be updating y’all with more information as we get it today. We love y’all and continue prayers and thoughts for our family during this difficult time.”
Mama June: Honey Boo Boo’s Reaction
Alana Thompson, Honey Boo Boo, took to Instagram in order to share thoughts about what she was feeling about the passing of her sister. She wrote, “Anna was in so much pain last night but now as a family, we all know she is at peace now. I really don’t know what to say as my heart is completely broken. You hit me hard with this one, Anna, but I know you’re in a better place now and pain-free forever!”
