Speculation first emerged that the pair may have tied the knot after the rapper had referred to Megan as his ‘wife’ during the course of the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. Although that may have been the case, it appears that this was simply a term of endearment rather than something that should have been taken literally.
After all, MGK does have a whole host of names that he likes to use when it comes to Megan. This even includes the word “twin flame” which just so happens to be the title for one of his songs.
With that being said, MGK wanted to clear up any misunderstandings that may have emerged. In an interview with ‘Entertainment Tonight,’ the musician said: “I think when I speak about terminology — it never felt like my girlfriend. It feels too adolescent for the depth of our relationship.”
Much in the same way, Megan had a similar stance. The actress opened up on how MGK was preoccupied with his music tour, which took time away from planning such a thing. Nevertheless, the star has not ruled out the possibility of walking down the aisle in the future.
And given that they have already gotten engaged, Megan let everybody know that it is simply a matter of time. As for when that happens, the couple have not come to a definitive date yet.
In her comments, Megan remarked: “No, [we aren’t married]. We don’t know what’s happening…When it needs to happen, the universe will open up and give us the space to do that.”
Time will tell if the couple do end up committing to themselves by getting married, but given everything that we have seen so far, things are looking likely to be going that way.
