Love Is Blind has gotten a lot of hate from former cast members who say that it was horrible for their mental health. One of these cast members is Danielle Ruhl who claimed that even though she told producers that she had attempted suicide before, they still wanted her on the show.
She had multiple breakdowns while they were filming and asked the producers to go home, but they would not allow it.

She and Nick Thompson did end up getting married and fans thought that they were going to work out. It turns out they did get divorced, but now they are opening up about their marriage and what happened.
Love Is Blind: Their Marriage
Nick has his own podcast called Eyes Wide Open and he and Danielle were able to talk through some things on the air together. They wanted to tell their fans about their marriage and what happened.
Danielle began, “I didn’t know how to deal with myself, let alone expect someone else to know how to navigate that with me. We were trying to figure out a marriage that wasn’t even a year old and navigate the struggles that we had. We couldn’t be seen in public. We couldn’t go anywhere. We couldn’t go out for dinner.”
They had to follow a lot of the rules that Netflix had in their contracts and it was incredibly hard for them to keep a low profile. They had a lot of fans trying to find out more about them when the show aired and some even stalked their Venmo profiles!
Danielle hated it when they were able to go out together because they were constantly being interrupted by fans of the show.
She went on to say, “You’re not used to having hundreds of thousands of people commenting on you, your relationship, your family, your behaviors, your job.”
Nick added, “Doing that in the public eye was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my entire life. I’m still reeling from it to this day.” These two have sparked rumors that they could be getting back together too.
Danielle added, “We lived through all of it together, but no one else in the world, even my friends, everyone else that was on the show, none of them had the experience that we did. And that’s why it was so hard not to be able to find comfort with anyone. No one else can relate to this but you and I.”
Nick and Danielle have not rekindled their love yet, but they have admitted to still loving each other and still remain friends. Nick told listeners, “It’s still a loss. I still feel it. And we’re gonna be connected forever, whether we decide we wanna be or not.”
