Lisa Rinna has stated that she was fully behind her daughter Amelia Gray Hamlin’s decision to date Scott Disick before the couple had split.
Lisa Rinna Denies That She Hated Scott Disick-‘ I Wasn’t Mean’
Amelia and Scott raised many talking points about their relationship due to the significant age gap between the pair. Not only that, but Scott was a father to his ex Kourtney Kardashian’s kids.
And yet, Lisa revealed that she still gave them a fair crack at the whip regardless of what people may have thought. In an interview on the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen show, Lisa said: “I wasn’t mean. Listen, I tried really hard. I was really patient, and I tried really hard. We’ll leave it at that.” Having said all that, Lisa may not be telling the truth.
During her time on the housewives show, she expressed her shock at the fact that Amelia would ever be interested in Scott. This went as far as Lisa telling the housewives the following: “You’re like, ‘What the f—k?’ She’s 19. He’s 37 with three kids.” In addition, Lisa had shared messages on social media stating that she would have preferred her daughter to be dating Harry Styles instead of Scott.
Nevertheless, Lisa downplayed any form of hostility towards Scott. She added: “You know, I’ve actually been quite nice about Scott Disick. And I would never say that out loud, anything. I might have thought things that weren’t very good. Can I atone for my thoughts?” Despite what Lisa thought about the pair, it was ultimately Scott who messed up the relationship.
Had it not been for his obsession with Kourtney and Travis Barker’s relationship, he could have salvaged things with Amelia. Ultimately, his act of mocking Kourtney and Travis’ relationship through some DMs that were leaked brought his downfall.
And as for Lisa, she merely summed up what everyone was thinking: Scott was not in it for the long haul. With Amelia now single again, Lisa will be hoping that she can find someone who is better suited to her and also someone that she approves of. And for Scott, who knows where he goes from here.
