Lily Collins reflected on a damaging relationship in which her former partner apparently insulted her and referred to her as a harlot.
Lily Collins Recalls Her Ex-Boyfriend Calling Her A ‘Wh**e’
Lily refused to reveal her former partner’s name, as she had been in relationships with various well-known men in the past. This has included none other than Zac Efron, as well as Chris Evans. Fast forward today, she is happily in a relationship with Charlie McDowell.
They decided to walk down the aisle in 2021, which was just a year after they had decided to get engaged. Their relationship has since then gone from strength to strength. In the picture here, we can see Lily is with Charlie as they stand next to each other. He is holding their dog, as they pose for a picture.
They have massive smiles on their faces and could not be any happier. While that may be the case, Lily has still been impacted by her previous relationship which was very toxic indeed.
In her comments, she said: “For me, my romantic toxic relationship was verbal and emotional abuse and being made to feel very small. He would call me ‘Little Lily’…and he’d use awful words about me in terms of what I was wearing and would call me a wh**e and all these things.”
And as part of that process, she admitted suffering from panic attacks, as well as anxiety. So much so that it appears that she has a therapist who has helped her to overcome some of these challenges. And through it all, Charlie has been there to offer a helping hand which has done wonders.
The response on social media, though, was far from sympathetic. This was on the basis that people felt Lily had to let things go and move on since she was in a happy relationship now.
One person wrote: “Grow up. You’re 33. It’s a cold rotten world out there full of cold rotten people…Throw him in the memory trashcan and let them take the memory of him to the dump.”
