Lifetime ‘Married at First Sight’ spoilers finds that though many TV shows and movies have postponed production for safety measures during the coronavirus crisis, Married at First Sight fans have no need to worry. The show is getting a social distancing spinoff! Prepare to satiate your craving for MAFS updates in this truly unique and unprecedented style for the series.

Lifetime ‘Married at First Sight’ Spoilers: NEW Couples’ Cam Spin-Off Series Announced— Self-Shot Footage

The spinoff series is titled Married at First Sight: Couples’ Cam and will follow a group of fan-favorite MAFS couples from all 10 seasons. MAFS: Couples’ Cam will document the couples in real-time using a variety of self-shot formats, including video chats, diary cams, and mounted cameras. Lifetime announced the new series will have a more intimate feel as it documents the couples’ milestone moments, including births of babies, home renovations, and deep discussions about their futures together.

“Lifetime viewers fell in love with these couples when they were on MAFS and in the unprecedented time facing the world, Married at First Sight: Couples’ Cam now allows us to continue to provide intimate access to these couples as their relationships have continued to grow, even after their seasons ended,” Gena McCarthy, Executive Vice President of Unscripted Development and Programming at Lifetime, Head of Programming at FYI, stated. “With the uncertain times we are all facing and having to pivot our production practices, we are thrilled to be able to deliver this special and exciting new series to give our fans even more of what they love.”

Lifetime ‘Married at First Sight’ Spoilers: NEW Spinoff Series Announced— Meet the Cast of MAFS: Couples’ Cam

Nine couples from Seasons 1-10 have officially joined the cast: Kristine & Keith (Season 8), Beth & Jamie (Season 9), Stephanie & AJ (Season 8), Shawniece & Jephte (Season 6), Danielle & Bobby (Season 7), Deonna & Greg (Season 9), Ashley & Anthony (Season 5), Jamie & Doug (Season 1). Additionally, it has been announced that a surprise couple from Season 10 will be joining the cast. This couple’s identity is currently unknown and will only be revealed once the spinoff premieres, as Season 10 is still airing.

Some couples, like Jamie & Doug, have been going strong since MAFS’s infancy. Others are going strong from recent seasons, but their newlywed status is sure to provide viewers with plenty of drama. It will be entertaining to see how the dynamics of career-focused vs. family-focused cast members play out, and we can’t help but wonder which couple from Season 10 will be appearing on Couples’ Cam. Tune into the six-part series on May 20, 2020 @ 8:00 pm/7:00 central on Lifetime.
