Meka and Michael began their blind marriage with a frustration-filled honeymoon over the fact that Micahel chose not to share a suite with Meka. Then, Meka told the production team that Michael was pressuring her to have sex. Michael denied this, but with his record of spinning the truth (such as lying about his employment status), it is difficult to believe him.
In a Newsweek exclusive preview for episode 15, Meka and Michael are setting up for a picnic with two different sack lunches. The romantic setting quickly turns into an argument as Micahel chooses the bag that he wants instead of thinking about Meka first. Meka is visibly irked by this action, as she sullenly sits there without eating her meal.

Michael senses something is amiss but first finishes eating a cup of pudding from the lunch he chose. He asks Meka what is on her mind. Meka points out that Michael has promised to put forth more effort and love into their relationship but that this small action of selfishness is proving otherwise.
She says, “This is the exact thing that is not gonna help our marriage… You give me no choice but to believe that you do not give a f**k about this marriage, and you are not trying. And if that’s the case, let me know so we can be on the same page.” Michael simply nods at the end of the preview.

Meka tells the cameras in a side interview: “I’m really speechless. I feel like simple things that Michael can do to show that he cares, he skips every opportunity. Like he just gave me what he didn’t want. That’s something simple where he could have been like, ‘Which one do you prefer?’ It was just thinking about Michael. Michael wants this so ‘I could care less what Meka wants. I’m just going to give you this because that’s what I don’t want.’ ”
In the past, the couple has opened up to one another after arguing, attempting to repair their communication skills and gain perspective. This seems to be a vicious cycle, though. MAFS couples will soon decide if they will stick together or file for divorce, and this picnic conversation could be a huge deciding factor in Meka and Michael’s fate.
