Lifetime ‘Married At First Sight’ spoilers finds that fans of the show are curious about the stars of the show. The question that has come up is if they are getting paid to be on the show. Fans of the show were not sure if the cast members truly wanted to try this experiment or if there was any money to help sweeten the pot. It turns out, there is a little bit of money involved and we have the story on what cast members should expect from being on the show.
Lifetime ‘Married At First Sight’ Spoilers: Do Cast Members Want Love or Money?
Some of the cast members on Married At First Sight have actually become social media influencers after gaining fans from being on the show. Is it worth it for cast members to take part in the experiment in the long run though? Many viewers think that the idea of a show where you get married just shortly after meeting someone is crazy and some think that there has to be money in it for the cast members. The cast does actually get paid, but it’s not a lot. A source said, “They receive a stipend-essentially a per diem since we often film 50 to 60 hours a week with them.”
Lifetime ‘Married At First Sight’ Spoilers: Does The Cast Get Paid?
The executive producer of the show also talked a little more in detail about this stipend. “We did not want people who were motivated by the wrong things. It’s almost nothing.” There are some other rumors going around that the cast members actually make about $1,500 per episode. That’s not almost nothing! There was a former crew member who posted on social media that couples do get paid about $1,500 an episode. We aren’t sure why this source is sharing this information when there have been former cast members to say differently.
A previous cast member, Nassar Sultan, said that “You get $150 for the day, that’s it. But on top of that, you have to pay expenses-your living expenses with the woman that you marry. It’s not $150 clear. You still have to pay rent if you’re renting…and it’s 12 hour filming days. None of our groceries were covered. They filmed us going shopping, and we had to shop at the same grocery store-which was really expensive, but it was out of our own money. We would spend up to $70 a day on just living, so we didn’t have much left after that.”
We do hope the cast members that are chosen are in this for the love and meeting their future spouse. It doesn’t seem like the money is good for being on the show.
