Lea Michele has shared her experience of recovering, following the harsh backlash she received from her ‘Glee’ colleagues, who commented on her allegedly toxic and oppressive attitude while they were all working on the show together.
Lea Michele Responds To Claims She Abused Her Glee Castmates-‘I Believe You Told Everyone That If You Had The Opportunity You Would ‘S— In My Wig’
Her comments come following her former castmate Samantha Ware’s declaration that Lea’s conduct on the set was troublesome and made her experience difficult. Ware expressed how Michele had made her initial television experience excruciating, claiming that she had said to other cast members that if given the chance she would have put excrement in [Ware’s] wig.
In her comments at the time, Ware remarked: “LMAO REMEMBER WHEN YOU MADE MY FIRST TELEVISION GIG A LIVING HELL?!?! CAUSE I’LL NEVER FORGET.
“I BELIEVE YOU TOLD EVERYONE THAT IF YOU HAD THE OPPORTUNITY YOU WOULD ‘S— IN MY WIG. AMONGST OTHER TRAUMATIC MICROAGRESSIONS.”
Another important person in the show, Alex Newell, backed up Ware’s statement, and Heather Morris declared that Michele had been difficult to collaborate with. And with so much shade being directed towards her, Lea wanted to share her side of the narrative.
She expanded on how she underwent a period of introspection which suggests that she had taken time to reflect on her mistakes. And by the looks of it, she has made some progress in that regard.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “I think these past two years have been so important for everybody to just sit back and reflect. I did a lot of personal reach-outs.” Nevertheless, the response on social media was damning.
This was on the grounds that people felt Lea was trying to save face by minimizing the damage that had been done to her reputation. One person wrote: “Why tf would they want to talk to her arrogant ass,” while another person stated: “She’s a dumb h**[e].”
