Prince Andrew has been accused of betraying the country in the aftermath of his sexual assault allegations coming to light.
Lawyer Slams Prince Andrew By Stating That He Is ‘Betraying Queen And Country’
Andrew, for his part, faces a lot of uncertainty as the outcome of the trial will play a crucial factor in whether or not he will be allowed to have his titles back.
In the aftermath of the controversy, Queen Elizabeth II decided to remove his military and charitable titles, as a way for the Royal family to distance themselves.
Although Andrew has denied doing anything of the sort, the very fact of the matter is that his account has been full of contradictions which has not made his defense any more credible.
Gloria Allred, who happens to be an attorney that has represented the victims who have suffered at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein, had this to say: “There are so many unanswered questions.
“To attend residencies and obviously see so many underage girls there – it is not just Virginia, there were others.”
These former comments are damming indeed, as there would be no reason for a member of the Royal family to be in the company of somebody that had been involved in sex crimes.
While Andrew has spoken in the past about how he only visited Epstein in order to state that he was going to be cutting off any ties with him, there is no denying the fact that the infamous picture of the two walking in a park has done a lot of damage to his reputation.
That is why Gloria feels that Andrew has committed a cardinal sin. She added: “I represented 20 accusers of Epstein – a number of who were underage.
“This is not the life that a member of the Royal Family should be choosing if they care about their duties to the country. [He is] betraying Queen and country.”
Ultimately, the only thing left to do is wait for the investigation to be concluded and for the authorities to rule on the matter. But until that time actually comes, Andrew will be facing a very long and nervous wait indeed.
