Legendary TV and radio host who has interviewed more than 30,000 interviews in his 60-year career, Larry King, has died at the age of 87.

According to Ora Media, the company that Larry co-founded, he died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center early Saturday. King was diagnosed with COVID-19 during the holidays and was hospitalized in the ICU though he was recently moved to a regular room and was breathing on his own.

King had battled a number of health problems including several heart attacks. Back in 1987, he underwent quintuple bypass surgery, which inspired him to create the Larry King Cardiac Foundation that provided help to those without insurance.

Just this past July, King’s son Andy King, 65, passed away from a heart attack, while his daughter, Chaia King, 52, passed away from lung cancer.

King was the voice people heard when they thought of radio and television, and it was his voice the landed him jobs across America before finding his fam with “The Larry King Show”.

In 1985, his career really took off with “Larry King Live” on CNN where he interviewed just about every iconic figure out there, from Sir Paul McCartney, Marlon Brando, and Gerald Ford to even Vladimir Putin! He got people to open up to him that normally wouldn’t speak about their personal lives, he was the voice of news and was the king of interviews.

Larry King accomplished a lot in his 87 years with us and will live on as an icon for generations to come. His voice was unique, his interview skills were next to none and he had a fun sense of humor. We hope his family is well, and may he rest in peace.
