Lady Susan Hussey has been asked to attend King Charles III’s coronation ceremony after she apologised to a charity representative who alleged that she had committed a racial offence.

Lady Susan Hussey Reportedly Invited To Attend King Charles III’s Coronation Despite Racism Scandal

The ex-attendant of the now-deceased monarch Queen Elizabeth II stepped down in November after repeatedly inquiring Ngozi Fulani’s place of origin while at a gathering at Buckingham Palace. At the age of eighty-three, Lady Susan came across Ms Fulani and expressed her heartfelt regrets for her statements.

According to an insider who spoke to the Sunday Mirror, Lady Susan, who is a godmother to Prince William, has been included in the guest list for the coronation ceremony which is to take place on Saturday, 6th May 2023, although official invitations have not been sent out yet.

If those comments are taken to be true, then it is significant for the following reasons. First of all, it shows that the monarch would be looking to make this scandal die down as soon as possible. Secondly, it also suggests that the firm is looking to stay united in order to avoid further controversy.

Approximately two thousand individuals are projected to show up at the 120-minute ceremony at Westminster Abbey. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are also anticipated to be asked, regardless of their controversial Netflix documentary.

The response on social media was clear. A certain subset of people were of the view that Hussey had every right to be there since Charles had not done enough to back her since the initial scandal broke.

One person wrote: “How very gracious of the King. The equivalent of taking Lady Susan Hussey flowers in hospital after throwing her under a bus,” while another person stated: “I sincerely hope the trouble maker Fulani is not invited.

“What she did was appalling – complete assumption on her part, nothing Lady Susan did was remotely racist and to suggest it was, was vexatious.” So there you have it folks.
