Lady Gaga thinks that the only way that she can talk to a certain demographic of America is if she can publicly mock them, dress like them, talk like them, and hopefully get them to change their mind right before the Presidential election. Sharing a video that she posted on Twitter this weekend, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, known professionally as Lady Gaga, tried to drum up support with battleground state voters for Joe Biden in a new video. However, Lady Gaga quickly got ridiculed by her social media followers for trying to look like what one would describe as a “redneck.”

She said, “Hey, this is Lady Gaga. I’m voting for America, which means I’m voting for Joe Biden. And if you live in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Florida, or Arizona, I encourage you to vote. Cheers to the 2020 election.”

Of course, it didn’t take very long for her critics to slam her video. One person wrote, “This is Lady Gaga trying to appeal to Middle America. HOW DO YOU DO FELLOW PICK-UP TRUCK OWNERS I LIKE BEER TOO,” while another said, “Real rednecks wouldn’t have wasted that perfectly good beer, Gaga. I speak from experience.”
Another person said that Lady Gaga was “trying to appeal to conservative voters by being a caricature of what she thinks conservative are all like.”
So far Lady Gaga herself has not made any comments about the controversy. However, a lot of people did point out that Gaga, who was born and raised in New York, totally missed the mark with voters from fly-over states.
