Scott Disick’s relationship with Kourtney Kardashian has become further strained following the conclusion of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’: Scott Disick Feels Disconnected ‘From The Kardashians’
The duo split up in 2015, but during the course of their relationship, they shared three kids: Mason, Reign and Penelope. While they remain on good terms for the purposes of their co-parenting, that is as far as it goes. A source told Us Weekly: “Scott and Kourtney’s relationship is definitely strained. They don’t communicate much unless it has to do with their kids.”
This should be understandable in light of where the pair are in their personal lives. Scott, for his part, has moved on with Amelia Gray Hamlin. Kourtney, however, has hooked up with Travis Barker. And now that the show has concluded, there is nothing else to keep Scott connected to the Kardashians. The impact of this has already started.
The source added: “Scott feels not just disconnected from Kourtney, but also all the Kardashians. This was his biggest fear…and now him being on the outskirts with Kourtney is affecting him.” That is not to say that Scott is not happy in his life, far from it. His relationship with Amelia is going really strong since they hooked up in October last year.
Although there were initial reservations about the significant age gap between the two, those fears have now been dispelled. Amelia’s parents have given him the seal of approval, in addition to the Kardashians, as they see Scott has become more responsible. This has allowed Scott to deal with the changes in his life.
The source continued: “[Scott’s] decided to stay in Miami, where he has a home, for a couple months and just try to stay out of the drama. He’s happy with Amelia and…doing things that are putting him in a better mood.” There is no denying that Scott will always have a soft spot for Kourtney.
After all, she is the mother of his kids. But his primary focus should now be Amelia, and Scott has to come to the realisation that Kourtney has moved on to the next stage of her life. Scott should do the same too.
