The duo decided to file for divorce after their relationship was no longer viable due to the consistent outbursts that Kanye was making. Although Kim was visibly shaken by the news in the immediate aftermath, as it played out on Keeping up with the Kardashians, it seems she has finally put an end to that chapter.
A source told Us Weekly: “Kim has completely moved on from the marriage, [but] still has love for Kanye.” It is natural that Kim still holds a soft spot for Kanye, given that he is the father to her kids. But having said all that, speculation is running rife that Kim may have moved on.
Just recently, rumours had been running wild that Kim was going to hook up with musician Drake. And yet, the rapper shut down those rumours. This was followed up in the same way by Kim, who remarked: “Never happened. End of story.” But just as Kim has been linked with someone new, so has Kanye. According to reports, Kanye had allegedly been seeing Irina Shayk.
The duo do have history, though. Irina had been part of Kanye’s music video entitled ‘Power.’ Not only that, but she was also a part of the rapper’s clothing collection at Paris Fashion Week. Regardless of whether the duo have moved on, there are still plenty of things that need sorting. First of all, Kim and Kanye have huge financial decisions to sort out.
The pair have a combined net worth of over $2 billion. Naturally, the presence of kids has to be a factor in how that is going to be distributed. With the children likely to be staying with Kim, given that they are still at a young age, Kanye will have to make sure that he has his deep pockets on hand.
It will be fascinating to see where the duo will go from here. They are both ready to move onto the next chapter of their lives, and the only question remaining is will they stay friends after the divorce, or will they burn their bridges for good?
