Kristin Cavallari‘s— former social media manager— Shannon Ford has spoken out after receiving criticism when she was spotted having lunch with Kristin’s previous partner Jay Cutler.

The incident garnered much attention with people beginning to question whether there was an ulterior motive behind the lunch. After all, it had only been seven months since Kristin and Jay had split up. But for all the attention, how did Shannon view this? Speaking on the Dear Media’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, she said:
“I wanted to be, like, the cool girl that was genuinely just like enjoying a drink with her friend and, like, Jay. So I was like, I’m not going to make this weird at all.” However, the two received much backlash with questions surrounding the morality of it. One listener viewed it as “Savage AF.”
So why has Shannon decided to speak out on this? Could it be because Kristen fired her? She had worked for her jewellery company and as a social media guru. However, questions over her performance led her to being fired. So does Shannon hold it against her?
If her latest comments are anything to go by, then apparently not. When speaking on the matter further, she told the podcast: “I was very close to Jay and Kristin outside of working. The brand originally started in her home [in 2017], like, we were in her living room every day working. I don’t know anything about like them together, but I only just viewed them as parents.”
It is great to see that Shannon still has a bond for both of them. But whether it is all genuine is only a question that Shannon could answer. Nevertheless, she continued her comments on the podcast and showed that there is no love lost, at least on the surface, between herself and the duo:
“There are three small children who have parents that are divorcing and that’s sad. I just genuinely mean that. That was, like, actually my thoughts on it. I’m sad — not sad if they don’t want to be together, then I’m happy that they’re figuring that out separately. But I’m sad that it’s very public and that they have children.”
