The duo decided to part ways last year after a 10-year marriage, and during this time, they shared three kids: Camden, Jaxon and Saylor. Although they remained on good terms in the aftermath of the split, it was not without its challenges though. In an interview with Mr Warburton magazine, she said: “It has its challenges for sure, especially in the beginning. But we’re just navigating it the best way we know how.”
Kristin, for her part, is all too aware of the difficulties associated with divorce. After all, her parents had gone through a similar process. This did not get in the way of Kristin being a major success in her life. And seeing those difficulties, as a child, has prepared her for how to handle her own kids. The greatest thing she has learnt is to not let the hatred spill between the children.
She added: “[My parents] never put the kids in the middle of it, no matter how mad you are at your ex-spouse. [My mom] never said anything bad about my dad. Now that I’m older, I really respect that.” Jay has certainly lived up to those words too. This has been evident by his social media activity on Mother’s Day. In the picture, we can see Kristin playing with her kids in a field.
And this shared admiration falls in line with Kristin’s following words: “I always want my kids to see Jay and me as a united front. He’s their father. That’s important.” Kristin has reciprocated that too. During last year’s Father’s day, she shared a picture of her kids at an American football match. They are clearly following in the footsteps of their father.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Saved the best for last….happy (late) Father’s Day to Jay.” It is great to see the couple working things out for their kids. While their marriage did end in a bitter way, their family has continued to go on strong. And long may that continue.
