Kristin Cavallari has spoken about how she has improved as a mother following her split from Jay Cutler.
Kristin Cavallari Has Become A Better Mother Since Her Split From Jay Cutler
The decision to part ways was difficult at the time, given they had been together for ten years since their marriage in 2013. Not only that, they shared three kids (Camden, 8, Jaxon, 6, and Saylor, 5), which added a further spanner in the works. But Kristen has taken the bull by the horns and stepped up to the plate.
During an interview with HollywoodLife, she said: “I’d say it’s maybe made me a better mom in some ways because I have my kids half of the time now. So when I have them for my week, I am so incredibly present. I am not distracted by my phone or anything else. I am with them.”
The couple managed to work out their co-parenting, which has freed up Kristin’s time. But rather than using it for her business ventures which she has found so much success in, Kristin prefers to spend more quality time with her kids. And her following comments have really shown how far she has come. She added: “I really focus on myself or whatever it is so that when I have my kids, I have my kids.
“That’s it, and I’m not doing anything else. I’ve gotten a babysitter one time when I’ve had my kids in the last year, and I completely regretted it.” That extra time has allowed Kristin to learn more about her children. Her daughters, in particular, seem to have taken after her. Much like Kristin, they are certainly not shy in expressing how they feel, as Kristin has been finding out.
In a previous interview with Us Weekly, she said: “It’s harder to raise girls because girls are drama. It’s a lot of drama, and Saylor’s payback for me is she’s very tough. She’s set in her ways. She knows what she wants, and she’s not going to stop until she gets it.” Kristin’s life is in a really great place at the moment, and her ‘relationship’ with Jeff Dye continues to blossom. And long may that continue.
