Kourtney Kardashian has spoken out amid the backlash she received after partnering up with fashion company Boohoo for their sustainability brand.

The backlash centered around the fact that the Kardashian family has been criticised over her private jet usage. This is nothing out of the ordinary since Kylie Jenner and even Taylor Swift have been met with that criticism.
Therefore, the last thing that people expected to see was a brand promoting sustainability team up with Kourtney. So much so that the comments at the time were very brutal indeed. One user went so far as to make the following comparison of “Burger King collaborating with a fitness influencer.”
But now that this has happened, Kourtney was not surprised to see the backlash that was coming her way. In her comments, she said: “Boohoo approached me to be a sustainability ambassador.
“And though I knew it would get backlash because the two just don’t go hand in hand, I thought about the fact that fast fashion, or the fashion industry in general, isn’t going anywhere.”
Nevertheless, Kourtney felt proud of this collaboration. She expanded on how she did not receive criticism previously for other fashion lines where she was not promoting any sustainability element.
So the fact that she has turned a few heads with her move now has only reinforced her decision. After all, she is convinced that she is making a change in whatever way that she can.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “It’s definitely making some noise which is exactly what I was hoping for. I certainly don’t have all the answers…I feel proud about doing it with intention and purpose.”
