Kourtney Kardashian wasted no time with making changes in her life following her marriage to Travis Barker by changing her surname from ‘Kardashian’ to ‘Barker’ on Instagram.
Kourtney Kardashian Changes Her Name To ‘Barker’ On Instagram-‘This Is Nothing But A Train Wreck’
The newly-married couple held an intimate ceremony in Portofino, Italy which was the talk of the town. And in order to show just how happy she was with her life, Kourtney wanted to show off her change in name to her 179 million Instagram followers.
In her Instagram page here, we can see that the reality star’s bio has now been updated to include ‘Kourtney Kardashian Barker.’ It is not exactly clear if she has changed her name legally in this regard, or whether this is just for the purposes of her social media.
Irrespective of what the case may be, she is not the only Kardashian to change her name when it comes to marking significant changes in her life. Her sister Kim Kardashian had also decided to drop the name West once it became clear that she was seeking a divorce from her ex Kanye West.
Although some may argue that these are merely trivial matters, the very fact of the matter is that it does signify Kourtney and Travis’ relationship moving on to the next level. Despite the clear enthusiasm that Kourtney was feeling, the fans on social media were still very skeptical.
This was on the basis that the change in name could come back to haunt her if the couple did split up in the future. After all, we have already seen this with Kim, which demonstrates that it can happen to anyone. One person wrote: “This is nothing but a train wreck and I give it six months.”
Now that Kourtney has taken on the name of Baker, she can look forward to starting a new chapter in her life. And given how well the ceremony went, they have plenty of things to look forward to.
