After mustering his resolve, King Charles III is now informing his youngest Prince Harry that he is in charge.
Charles Is Getting The Courage To Stand Up To Harry-Says Dan Wootton
That is according to Dan Wootton. Following their critical remarks in the Netflix show and Prince Harry’s book Spare, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have asked for an apology from Charles and Prince William.
This may explain why the Sussexes have yet to respond to whether or not they will attend, despite reports indicating that they have been invited. Wootton declared that there is no possibility that the couple will receive an apology from the Prince of Wales, and the King has been, up until now, too compliant concerning his son.
However, there is a suggestion that the King is now gaining the courage. Dan indicated that the 74-year-old monarch would not express regret to Harry and Meghan regarding their efforts to exploit their potential participation in the coronation.
In his comment, Dan said: “And actually, I believe that’s the right approach for the King to take. Personally, I don’t believe Harry and Meghan should be there at all. You just know that they will find a way to make it all about themselves. There’s no negotiation with Harry and Meghan.”
Nevertheless, that is easier said than done. First of all, by not inviting them, this will give the couple an excuse that they were treated unfairly. Therefore, this may give credence to some of the claims against the firm that they have made.
Secondly, given that Archie’s birthday is on the same day as the Coronation, their absence would only upstage the Coronation as the Sussexes may decide to use this for PR purposes. Regardless of what the case may be, the monarch has to do what is best for the firm. And that is the most important thing to remember.
