According to royal expert Arthur Edwards, King Charles III was not willing to overlook Prince Harry’s criticisms of Queen Consort Camilla.

He believes that due to the scathing remarks and allegations made by the Duke of Sussex towards Camilla, the King had to take the step of taking away Frogmore Cottage. Harry had alleged that Camilla was prepared to share details with the media in order to enhance her reputation after being portrayed negatively for several years.
Not only that, but he went so far as to refer to her as a villain. And that may have been the final straw. In his comments, Arthur said: “Finally the King has hit back at Harry and Meghan over their vicious attacks on his darling wife and Prince William.
“The King has responded by taking away their grace and favour home, Frogmore Cottage, which was given to them as a perk of their job.” In addition to this, Omid Scobie has claimed that individuals close to the Sussexes claimed they were left “shocked” when they were informed of the decision.
It is claimed that the property could be given to Prince Andrew who has fallen from grace following his sexual assault scandal involving Virginia Guiffre. With that being said, it shows that a precedent has been set that Charles will no longer tread a fine line, but act decisively to protect the interests of the firm.Â
And by the looks of it, this has been well received on social media. Large numbers of people came out to support the decision that had been made. One person wrote: “Good on him too,” while another person stated: “Charles has got some balls at last.”
