King Charles III Reportedly Told Harry Not To Bring Meghan To Balmoral During Queen Elizabeth’s Final Moments
Initial reports indicated that the couple would travel together, but this was followed by later revelations that Harry was attending alone. He ultimately ended up arriving once the monarch had passed, but Meghan’s absence had been noticeable.
It was not exactly clear why there was a change of plan at the time, but it turns out that her presence would not have been in the best interests of the family. This is entirely understandable in light of Meghan’s conduct prior to the monarch’s passing.
Her controversial interview with ‘The Cut’ made a series of criticisms against the firm, including claims that she would not have been able to do the school run in the UK due to paparazzi, as well as comments she had to clarify which initially suggested Harry had ‘lost’ his father only to then state she was referring to her own.
And with so much damage already being done, it was not feasible to have her there. A source confirmed the following: “Charles told Harry that it wasn’t right or appropriate for Meghan to be in Balmoral at such a deeply sad time.
“It was pointed out to him that Kate was not going and that the numbers really should be limited to the very closest family.” But this is not going to be the last of it, though. There will also be question marks over whether Meghan will attend Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.
After all, she did not appear at the late Prince Philip’s funeral. While people may argue this was because she was advised on medical grounds not to travel, as she was pregnant with Lilibet at the time, the fact of the matter is that reports allegedly claimed the Queen was ‘relieved’ that Meghan did not come.
