Kim Kardashian Was ‘Blindsided’ By The Backlash To Her Comments Which Implied Women Were Lazy
The controversial comments were made during an interview with Variety, which struck a chord with people for all the wrong reasons especially due to the Kardashian’s background.
While she may be a billionaire and successful in her own right, the fact of the matter is that Kim did have a very good environment in which she was brought up in. Her late father, Robert Kardashian, was a well-renowned attorney with a clear amount of wealth.
In addition, the fact that Kim had various sisters who helped to contribute towards the Kardashian brand could also not be ignored. So when she decided to call out women by suggesting that they were lazy, it was not a very good look.
In her comments at the time, she stated the following: “I have the best advice for women in business, get your f–king ass up and work. Success is never easy, so if you put in the work, you will see results.”
Although Kim would go on to apologise for her conduct, Kim admitted that she was blindsided by why there was such an outrage in the first place. During an episode of ‘The Kardashians,’ she had a heart-to-heart with her sister Khloe Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner.
That is when she admitted that her comments were made when there were a lot of things going on behind-the-scenes which could have influenced her choice of words. In an episode of this show, Kim said: “It’s like, I said what I said about people working.
“Do I believe in that? Yes. I believe that you have to work hard in order to do that, but I was just so blindsided by how angry people got.” Regardless of whether this was done to save face, at the very least, Kim owned up to her mistake.
