Kim Kardashian has hit back at the haters that criticised her role in helping former United States President Donald Trump on criminal justice reform.

It is no secret that Kim has aspirations of working in the legal profession. So much so that she recently passed the Bar exam after having failed it on three previous occasions.
Naturally, she wanted to make sure that she could have a positive influence rather than just being a TV reality star that she is known for. And as part of that, Kim garnered support that allowed Donald to pass the First Step Act in 2018.
This act was designed to reform prisons in the hope that it would reduce the number of reoffenders. But just as her former lover Kanye West was criticised for associating with Donald, Kim has experienced the exact same thing.
But the star is not letting that drag her down. During an interview on the “Honestly with Bari Weiss,” podcast, she said: “I really don’t care about the criticism.
“I mean, my reputation over someone’s life? Destroy me then. I really don’t care. It was not even an option. And he did the right thing.”
However, it is important to bear in mind that Kim saw her role as beyond party politics. She felt that this was an issue which she held very close to her heart, irrespective of the fact that Donald was in charge. This is very true when we look at her prior activism.
She recently praised United States President Joe Biden after he decided to recognise the Armenian Genocide that had taken place in 1915. This clearly shows that Kim is focused on policies, rather than personalities.
She added: “I’m just about doing the right thing…It’s really about the people inside and if I can do anything—no matter if it’s Obama, Biden, Trump, I’m willing to work with anybody.
“It’s not really about being liked…that’s what it’s about for me.” Kim has certainly doubled down on her beliefs, and if she wants to make it in the legal profession, then having such an approach is only going to help her.
