Kim Kardashian has praised her parents after receiving the ‘Giving Tree Award’ at the Baby2Baby Gala.
Kim Kardashian Praises Her Mother Kris Jenner After Being Honoured At The Baby2Baby Gala
The fundraising event was designed to raise money to ensure that children living in poverty got help as soon as possible. As part of that process, Kim’s award was designed to recognise her giving back to the younger generation.
She followed in the footsteps of other big-name celebrities that had received it, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Alba. And given that Kim had allegedly donated $500,000, as well as goods worth $5 million to help children, she became an ideal candidate for the award.
And once she accepted it, Kim took her time to give some warm words to her mother, Kris Jenner, for being an inspiration. In her comments, Kim said: “I would like to thank my parents. My mom Kris — my backbone, the heartbeat of our family — for showing me what it means to put her children and caring.”
Much in the same way, the Kardashian also praised her late father Robert Kardashian. Despite dying tragically in 2003 following his battle with oesophageal cancer, Robert was known for being a well-renowned attorney. That is ultimately the reason why Kim has had interest in becoming an attorney, and those lessons from a young age have stayed with her.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “My dad, who taught me at a very young age, compassion, gratitude and the importance of using this blessed life that we have been given to bless others.”
Nevertheless, this is the least that the Kardashian could do. Kris has played an integral part in building up the Kardashian brand which has seen all the sisters involved have their own success.
In addition, given that Kim is a billionaire, the fact that she gives back to the community is perhaps something that could lead others in doing the same. And that can only be a good thing moving forward.
