Kanye, for his part, has certainly not shied away from expressing how he feels about their relationship.
He launched a series of verbal attacks, some of which included the claim that Pete had dated Hilary Clinton, as well as photoshopping a picture of Pete in the rapper’s presence by crossing his face out.
In the midst of all this, the couple have been uncharacteristically quiet. But rather than responding to the hate, they have decided to rely on each other.
A source said: “Kim and Pete are secure enough in their own relationship and aren’t going to let snide comments affect what they have.”
Kanye’s hostility has bound to have been influenced by his own personal life going awry. He had broken up with Julia Fox amid Valentines Day, as he had to watch Kim getting up close and personal with Pete.
Not only that, but the public perception surrounding the rapper has taken a turn for the worse, which was most notably seen when he was booed viciously at the Super Bowl.
With so many things to contend with, Kim has decided to let things go and focus on being happy. The source added: “She’s leaning on him while Kanye is going through this jealousy phase.
“Kim and Pete are trying not to give in to the attention. She’s said what she needed to say.” In reality, if Kanye does not stop his attacks, then there is a realistic possibility that something could potentially happen.
And this was made clear by Kim, who had reportedly texted Kanye to tell him to back off talking about Pete. Otherwise, she would hold him accountable if anything went wrong.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “U are creating a dangerous and scary environment and someone will hurt Pete and this will all be your fault.”
Kim is certainly going about things the right way, perhaps Kanye can take a leaf out of her book and move onto better things. We will have to see how this will play out going forward.
