Kevin Hart Claims That Dave Chappelle’s Attacker Deserved To Get Beaten Up-‘It’s One Of Those Things That Needed To Happen’

Kevin Hart has claimed that Dave Chappelle’s attacker Isaiah Lee deserved to be beaten up.

The attack had taken place when Dave was performing at the Hollywood Bowl. During the course of his performance, Isaiah had accosted the comedian with a replica gun that just so happened to include a folding blade.

So when security intervened, they put an end to Isaiah’s advances. And for his troubles, he had apparently suffered a broken arm. In the picture here, we can see that Isaiah is in a really bad state. He is handcuffed on a chair, with his face badly swollen.

But rather than expressing any form of sympathy, Kevin felt that the attacker got what he deserved. In an interview on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live,’ he said: “Somebody ran onstage and got their a– whooped.

“It’s one of those things that needed to happen, though … do you want people to continue to think that they can cross that line and break the barrier of entertainer [and audience]?” Thankfully, neither side suffered any life-threatening injuries.

But with that being said, there is still the obvious question surrounding the safety of comedians. Will Smith’s slapgate incident had set the ball rolling when he lashed out at Chris Rock after he had joked about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair loss at the Oscars.

But by having a hardline stance, even if that means that security has to become more strict, then so be it. And by doing this, it should detract others from doing the same.

Kevin added: “Somebody getting their a** whooped sends a message out to other people that was like, ‘You know, I was thinking about doing that. But after seeing that, I don’t really want to do that.”

It is safe to say that Isaiah will not be attempting anything like this, at least for now. And hopefully, this is the last time that such a thing happens. So there you have it folks. What did you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
