“They have been living separately for the last few months,” one source close to the situation told CNN. “They have been in marriage counseling and have discussed divorce, it’s on the table.”
“Divorce is something that has been discussed off and on for the past year but Kim has not wanted to move forward on that,” the second source said.
And while the source went on to say that the divorce is amicable, not many people believe that. Last summer Kanye had a meltdown of sorts when he tweeted to the world that he hasn’t been happy in their marriage, either.
He tweeted, “I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Warldolf [sic] for ‘prison reform,’” seeming to refer to a criminal justice summit attended by Kim and rapper Meek Mill in November 2018.
As many fans know, Kim and Kanye first met in the early 2000s, but it took several years before they got romantically involved. The couple married in Italy in 2014 and have four children: North West, Saint West, Chicago West, and Psalm West.
Another tipster said, “Now this divorce is happening because Kim has grown up a lot. She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she is serious about her prison reform campaign. Meanwhile Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy s–t, and she’s just had enough of it.”
