British Royal Family News suggests that Kate Middleton is being credited for ‘destroying’ the paparazzi market. Here’s what you need to know.
The Telegraph’s Camilla Tominey says that Kate Middleton was actually first inspired by Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden for her similar approach of taking candid photos of her kids and releasing them to the public in an effort to stop the paparazzi from trying to get ‘exclusive’ photos of her family. Tominey even goes as far as calling the Duchess of Cambridge a “leading chronicler of modern royal life” as she is relishing this role more now than ever before.

Tominey also went on to say that these intimate family photos have gone on to “kill, stone dead” the market for paparazzi shots. In her op-ed for the Daily Telegraph, she explained, “Why would any newspapers or magazines want to run grainy long-lens images of the royals in private when they themselves are willing to serve up crystal clear Instagram-style shots? Of course there still is, and always will be, a place for experienced lensmen and women to capture the big royal moments. However, it has always been these more candid camera shots that the public has craved.” Tominey added, “When it comes to seeing the “real” royals behind their public personas, the Duchess is fast becoming the monarchy’s leading chronicler of modern royal life.”
Of course, it’s yet to be seen if Kate Middleton’s sister-in-law Meghan Markle will take a page out of her book and do the same thing. So far Prince Harry and Meghan’s little son Archie Harrison has only been seen one time ever since the couple moved from London to start a new life in Los Angeles. Harry and Meghan posted a video of the Duchess reading a book to the one-year-old on his birthday back in May.
