Online trolls have made shocking and nasty comments about Kate Middleton and Sarah Ferguson as they both face health challenges.
Bullies Behind the Keyboard Are Attacking Kate and Sarah
Bullies behind the keyboard have been attacking Princess Catherine as she recuperates from her abdominal surgery.
The garbage they spew is nothing but vile comments, probably made by people who feel envious of Kate, or they may even be Meghan Markle’s followers.
Online abuse is serious, and it should not necessarily be protected by free speech. Unwelcome comments about Kate and Sarah concerning the health struggles they are facing have found their way onto the internet, proving that there are just sick people out there.
When the computers are turned off, these nefarious souls are likely cowards in real life. Any abusive language toward either of these two royals should be reported, and they should be held accountable.
The royal family knows they must contend with social media and participate in posting messages, pictures, and other miscellaneous social media fodder, but that doesn’t mean they should sacrifice their privacy or mental health.
Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook are among the top social media sites where everyone feels comfortable making negative comments that they wouldn’t say directly to the person’s face.
That being said, social media is an excellent tool for self-promotion. These platforms help the royals promote who they are and their widely respected charity work.
However, some problems can arise when you give someone access to your personal social media pages.
The Royal Family Navigated Gossip and Tabloid Fodder
The royal family has a team of online specialists who spend time and effort managing their sites. They delete the insults and explicit language; anything foul or nasty must go.
The monarchy navigating gossip and fodder is, of course, nothing new. Look at Charles and Princess Diana. Their divorce made headlines, and some people made nasty comments on either side.
Charles and Camilla are another story. They made the tabloids salivate when a private moment between him and Camilla made headlines.
James Hewitt had an affair with Princess Diana, published a tell-all book, was interviewed, derived publicity, and obtained money because of his relationship with Diana.
And it goes back even further. For example, in 1821, the royal gossipers had a lot of fun when Caroline, the wife of George VI, made a fool of herself at George’s coronation ceremony.
When the internet became commonplace, people felt they could say anything and make negative, derogatory, and downright savage remarks.
It also became difficult to determine real news, lies, and garbage. Buckingham Palace tries to protect the child royals, but even they can sometimes be targeted.
Prince William and Princess Catherine are prominent mental health advocates. They have launched a campaign against cyberbullying.
Kate Middleton and Sarah Ferguson Will FIGHT Against Bullying
They can see the damage done to this generation, especially the younger generation. Some changes have been made to bring the focus toward “psychological harm” and the internet.
Kate and Sarah have received unwarranted criticism lately and kept their heads high, not even responding. Hopefully, the climate of social media can change positively and protect people.
Internet bullying is no joke, and it is used to victimize the receiver of the text or e-mail. Tell us what you think about this topic by putting your comments in the section below. Also, visit Daily Soap Dish for your favorite soaps, reality TV, and the Royal Family
