After their controversial Mar-a-Lago dinner, ex-president Donald Trump called disgraced rapper Kanye West a ‘deeply troubled man,’ and West responded by slamming Trump as a known liar.

Last week, nationalist Nick Fuentes was hosted at Trump’s Florida estate alongside the rapper, who has come under heavy criticism of late following his anti-Semitism saga in which he vowed to go ‘def con 3’ on Jewish people.
In an attempt to backpedal after the meeting which received substantial criticism, Trump said he was trying to ‘help a troubled man’ in the form of West. In response to Trump, the rapper bashed the former president in a passionate reply. He said: “I would have never wanted to do anything that hurt Trump.
“I’m on Trump’s side. Trump said things that hurt me. He lied about me, but I mean, he’s known for lying. I went into the trenches for Trump … There is no one in my position that wore that hat.”
Not only that, but Kanye also stood his ground following his ‘def con 3’ comments. In the aftermath of that saga, Kanye was dropped by several major brands including Balenciaga and Adidas. That allegedly resulted in him no longer being a billionaire.
But for all the financial consequences and criticism that came his way, Kanye vowed that he would continue to stand his ground. His following comments confirmed as much: “I thought I was more Malcolm X, but I found out I’m more MLK.
“As I’m getting hosed down every day by the press and financially, I’m just standing there.” The social media response towards West was very brutal. A significant proportion of people felt that Kanye continued to contradict himself every time someone had a little criticism over him.
