Kanye West is trying to trademark the term “Yews.” to make use of it for banking services. Also used for restaurants, streaming, music, advertising, TV, beauty products, food and drink, games, and whatever nonsense he feels should be applied. Twenty-six trademark applications for the phrase were filed on October 2nd by Kanye West at the US Patent and Trademark Office.
The attorney helping Kanye with the filing is from the “Weeks Nelson” firm, whom he hired after being dropped by his original legal team due to antisemitic statements. He has a history of making antisemitic rants and comments.
Kanye West, or “Ye” as he prefers to be called, has been accused of antisemitism by his former business partner, Alex Klein. Kanye allegedly told Klein,
“I want to smack you; you’re exactly like the other Jews.”
The Connection Between Kanye, Ye, and Yews
The phrase “Yews” has sparked controversy due to Kanye’s infamous antisemitic comments, which prompted several sponsors like Adidas, Def Jam Records, and Gap to drop him.
Many suspect that “Yews” pertains to the Jews and Kanye’s prejudiced remarks. It could also be combining the word Jews and his rapper name, “Ye.”
Kanye was ostracized in 2022 when he said he liked Hitler and the Holocaust never happened. He dismissed the fact that Hitler tortured and killed six million Jews.
Kanye’s exact words were,
“He didn’t kill six million Jews. That’s just factually incorrect. I’m not trying to be shocking. I like Hitler. Hitler has a lot of redeeming qualities.”
Kanye targeted Jewish people on social media and threatened violence against Jews. He said that people should stop “dissing the Nazis.”
West claims that Hitler and the Nazis weren’t evil. West displayed a likeness of a swastika combined with the Star of David on social media.
These statements are vicious and unacceptable, and no one should have to feel like they must tolerate these kinds of remarks, not even under the guise of protecting free speech.
Kanye Has a Dangerous and Intolerant Mentality
During a Fox News host, Tucker Carlson conversation, Kanye told him he wants his children to learn about Hanukah over Kwanza because then at least his kids would learn about “financial engineering.” This statement insinuates that Jews are greedy.
Kanye also stated on Twitter that he was “going death con three on Jewish people,” which understandably incited shock and outrage.
There was a bevy of offensive posts by Kanye on social media, so Instagram froze his account. West was also banned from Twitter for posting an antisemitic picture but was allowed to return to X.
Kanye has repeatedly violated social media rules regarding using hate speech, bullying, and harassment. He has been banned from several social media platforms as a result.
Of course, Kanye has been missing in action for a while after the backlash due to his antisemitism. He has spent the last few months in Europe with his wife, Bianca Censori. While there, they got into other kinds of trouble, committing lewd acts and offending people.
Kanye has a dangerous and intolerant mentality. It is disturbing and difficult to believe this man thought he could ever be president.
