It looks like Kanye West has been banned from performing at the Grammy Awards. Now, lately West has been doing the absolute most in regards to going after his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, along with her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson, and even comedian Trevor Noah at one point who did nothing but call out his actions in a monologue on his show saying, “You may not feel sorry for Kim Kardashian because she is rich and famous but it’s absolutely terrifying watching what she’s going through.
This is what so many women go through when they choose to leave.” and he is not wrong. Many domestic violence surivors have stories similar to Kim’s, only, they don’t have the power or money it takes in order to be able to stay away from their abusers
Kanye West banned from the Grammy Awards
Kanye took that as a personal affront, by posting to instagram Trevor Noah’s picture with a bastardization of the song “Koom Bah Yah” obviously poking fun at Trevor Noah’s South African heritage (not a good look, Kanye) but that may have been where he screwed up. Because what he didn’t realize when he posted his little rant was the fact that Trevor Noah is the current host of the Grammy’s.
Now, you might think that Trevor’s a team player and he’d just let Kaney get up on stage and make a fool of himself like so many people have before, because let’s face it everyone has let Kanye go around unchecked in the past decade, but the thing is… as a host, Trevor doesn’t really have to put up with that.
Since Kanye’s already made threats toward Pete Davidson, it would only make sense that if Trevor Noah had a hand in Kanye getting banned from performing, it would only make sense, seeing as he’s made racial slurs toward him on his instagram too. All may be fair in love and war, but Kanye brought him into a fight that technically wasn’t his to begin with.
Trevor simply made an observation about an extremely volatile situation, Kanye was the one who took it up a notch by hurling racial epithets around. Suffice to say, since Noah said that his own Mother was a victim of domestic violence, he may not have felt safe in the same vicinity as Kanye because he simply knows the score already. Ratings are not worth anyone’s personal safety. Stay tuned!!!
