Ah, animation, the final frontier. It would seem that Kanye West has decided to get around the societal standards of what is cool by ‘creatively’ curb-stomping his romantic rival in his new music video for the song ‘Easy’.

In his previous music video at the end he had himself kidnapping an animated version of Pete – err – “Skete” as he calls him in the music video, and burying him alive complete with rose seeds and saying at the end “And we all lived happily ever after… except Skete… you know who.” while scratching out the name Skete… yeah we know who you’re talking about, Kanye.

In this music video, Kanye decides to have a skinned monkey, the same skinned monkey who is on the album cover come and beat up “Skete” ahem, Pete, in a very graphic manner.

It’s just as disturbing as it sounds, people, also, one has to wonder just who on earth is getting commissioned by Kanye to make these music videos, you have to wonder what on earth is going through this artist’s head while they’re collaborating with Kanye (because as someone who has done video production before, they have to be) and you wonder just what on earth those conversations are like.

Pete Davidson doesn’t seem to be affected by the release of this music video and well, for now at least, it’s just creative expression. Pete’s just living his life, collaborating with Lorne Michaels on a new comedy series called “Bupkis” he hasn’t said anything so far, neither has Kim Kardashian (then again Kim has other, far more pressing things to address on social media) and Kanye’s allowed a creative outlet… we suppose.

But the fact of the matter is, these music videos are disturbing and if it does indeed speak to what Kanye’s mental state is right now, we’re concerned to say the least.

One of the lyrics in the song even says, “God saved me from the crash, so I could come back and beat Pete Davidson’s ass”, could that be construed as a threat? As long as it’s said in the context of a song, we suppose not, but things are getting really creepy for Kanye really quick and it’s not a good look.

Things have been unstable for awhile, but this is disturbing… but as long as it doesn’t escalate, he’s still protected under freedom of expression. Yike. Stay tuned!!!
