The Big Bang Theory star, Kaley Cuoco has filed for divorce from her husband of three years, Karl Cook.
The actress and her equestrian husband are said to have already filed the paperwork in a California court and made a joint statement on Friday saying, “Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions.”

The former pair continued, “There is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary. We have made this decision together through an immense amount of respect and consideration for one another.”
To the surprise of her fans, and to Kaley, she and Karl tied the knot in the summer of 2018 at a horse stable in San Diego. The two had met at a horse show in 2016 and quickly started dating but Kaley was gun shy about marriage after her whirlwind marriage and divorce to tennis pro, Ryan Sweeting.
Kaley and Ryan were wed in 2013 and divorced in 2015 and thanks to the experience Kaley had decided she would never wed again. “My ex ruined that word for me,” she explained to Cosmopolitan Magazine. “I married someone the first time who completely changed. The person I ended up with was not the person I originally met. And that wasn’t my fault — that was his.”
However, after a year of dating Karl, he had popped the question, and Kaley said “yes”.
Only six months ago Kaley spoke to Women’s Health Magazine about why her marriage to Karl worked, saying she didn’t “need” her husband.
“If Karl left me tomorrow, I’d be fine. And he knows that, and he would be fine too,” the Flight Attendant actress said. “I like to tell my friends, ‘Always make sure you have your life going, and that you’re number one, so that anyone who comes into it—husband, or boyfriend, or girlfriend, however you roll—that’s just an added bonus to something you’re already creating,'” she said.
It appears Karl didn’t relish being number 2.
