Julia Fox has expanded on her previous troubles with substance abuse during the earlier parts of her life.
Julia Fox Recalls Her Problems With Drugs – ‘I Didn’t Know I Was Playing With Fire’
Julia, for her part, first came across drugs when she had been getting herself accustomed to marijuana, while she was in 6th grade.
But things quickly escalated from there, as she revealed that she had also started to get involved with heroin during the course of her time in high school.
And that is when she realised that she had gotten herself involved in drugs. During an interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Julia said: “I was doing it in secret and I would put it on a blunt that I would smoke to the face.
“I would not share. I didn’t know I was playing with fire. It’s a miracle I haven’t done it in very, very long. I highly don’t recommend it.”
Nevertheless, that is not to say that Julia does not dabble in drugs now. Rather, she has become very selective over what she takes. She allegedly still takes marijuana to this day on some occasions, but has refrained from doing anything else.
This decision was influenced by virtue of the fact that her friend had overdosed in 2019, which put Julia off from using heroin again. Not only that, Julia had also had her own share of overdoses which taught her some lessons.
She added: “There’s been a few. But the last one, the really bad one, it was on my birthday and it was really sad because my sister was there and she was sober and the whole party was ruined.
“I literally fell over in front of the whole party. That was a very awakening moment.” And after getting in trouble with the law for grand larceny, alongside a friend, Julia managed to get her drug usage in order as a result of a probation officer.
And that ultimately led her to getting her life back on track. Her following comments confirmed as much: “I was actually on probation for like three years and that really saved my life.”
