While the rest of the world stood by in shock and horror as Vladamir Putin invaded Ukraine, Joy Behar said that she feared what this meant for the rest of western Europe (don’t we all?) but not only for the most obvious reasons. Rather, she confessed that for the last 4 years she had been trying to plan a vacation to Italy and had not been able to due to first the pandemic and now Putin’s invasion.
Holy Bad Timing, Batman!
There are some times when one needs to be mindful of the situation that one is speaking if. It’s bad enough that Behar would poo-poo the pandemic (as if we didn’t have enough if those people around, ahem!) but the feeling of her comments just trivialized what is a full-scale war complete with lives lost and people injured and ordinary citizens having to arm up and defend their homes from an invading army sent to kill them.

Right now is not really the time to be thinking about one’s italian vacay, right now all of our focus needs to be on prayers for the Ukrainian people and humanitarian efforts in the region. But we’re sure Behar is aware of that. She works in the media she is well aware of what is going on in the news.
Still, how dare Vladamir Putin destabilize Western Europe and make it an unsafe vacation spot for those of us not already worried about COVID! Not only is Joy Behar not going to get her Italian vacation but what is the 90 Day franchise going to do now that the region is unstable?
Obviously, no one can film a reality show in a war zone… well they could but the hazard pay might not even be worth it. Would reality tv stars even qualify for hazard pay? One wonders. At this rate, people might start looking closer to home for love instead of going abroad.
Hey, Joy Behar’s vacay plans probably aren’t the only ones who got ruined… but far more people are reluctant to talk about it… and that’s a good thing, Behar should take a lesson from some of those people. Stay tuned!!!
