Hunter Biden has entered a plea of not guilty to all charges in the Department of Justice’s case, accusing the President’s son of tax evasion.
In the indictment revealed last month, President Joe Biden’s son faces nine charges, encompassing failure to pay taxes, evasion of assessment, and filing false or fraudulent tax returns, among others.
Making his inaugural appearance in the case on Thursday, Hunter appeared before Judge Mark C. Scarsi, an appointee of former President Donald Trump, at the federal courthouse in downtown Los Angeles. A conviction could result in Hunter facing up to 17 years behind bars.

Special counsel David Weiss initiated the case following an investigation into Hunter’s business dealings abroad. Prosecutors assert that instead of fulfilling his tax obligations, Hunter expended millions on a lavish lifestyle. Notably, Hunter had previously faced separate gun charges in September, initially securing a plea deal covering both the federal tax case and the gun-related situation. However, the agreement unraveled after the judge raised concerns about its terms.
This has been a long time coming and it’s shocking that it took so long to come to fruition. We wonder if all those reports and people saying it wasn’t true and that President Joe Biden had no idea are going to be held accountable as well. Of course they won’t be.
It’s ironic that after all this time, Hunter is the one finding himself in the hot seat after years of claims that Donald Trump was an agent of Russia. Again, no one was held accountable. It’s crazy to think that we can be lied to everyday of our lives and continue on as normal.
