Joe Rogan recently shared his lengthy three-hour interview with Donald Trump on X, following claims that YouTube was not making the episode easily accessible.
Released late Friday, the podcast featured a wide-ranging discussion that included topics like UFOs, the assassination files of John F. Kennedy, immigration issues, and the state of healthy eating in America.
In less than a day, the interview garnered an impressive 17 million views on YouTube. However, many users reported difficulties finding the episode through the platform’s search function.
Joe Rogan Posts FULL Three-Hour Interview With Donald Trump To X (Twitter) Amidst Rumors of Youtube Censorship
On Monday, Rogan responded to these concerns by retweeting messages from viewers who struggled to locate the interview. To address the issue directly, he posted the complete podcast on his X account. “Since there’s been a problem searching for this episode on YouTube, here’s the full podcast with Trump,” he wrote.
One notable tweet came from David Heinemeier Hansson, the CTO of Basecamp, who illustrated his failed attempts to search for the interview.
“I tried to find the Rogan/Trump interview on YouTube, but no matter what I searched, it didn’t show up. It would be crazy if they were actively trying to suppress it. Must be a glitch, right?” he questioned.
On the following Monday, YouTube acknowledged the issue, stating, “For some searches, the original three-hour interview did not appear prominently.” They noted that while shorter clips from the Rogan channel were visible, the full episode’s absence was frustrating for users, but assured that the problem had been addressed.
Rogan’s podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, remains a top-rated show on Spotify, boasting over 14 million subscribers and nearly 18 million followers on YouTube, with episodes often attracting millions of views.
The conversation between Rogan and Trump allowed the former president to connect with Rogan’s predominantly male audience, which is largely composed of listeners under 35.
During the interview, Trump shared insights about his relationships with figures like Kim Jong-Un—whom he said he came to know “very well” despite previously mocking him—and discussed his belief that Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if he were still in office. “I told Vladimir, ‘You’re not going in,’” he recounted, suggesting that his past conversations with Putin were impactful.
Trump also reflected on his presidency, admitting to making some “bad choices” in cabinet appointments. He indicated that the success of his administration was tied to his decision-making in selecting key officials, acknowledging, “The biggest mistake I made was picking some people I shouldn’t have picked.”
