On Joe Rogan’s podcast with Tim Kennedy, he offered to moderate a debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic Nominee Joe Biden. It was said it’d be about four hours long with no live audience. Just two candidates, cameras, and their own words describing how they would better America.

This had a lot of people talking obviously and wasn’t without its critics. However, something like this could truly be interesting and maybe better to the American people than a rehearsed answer and speech from a teleprompter.

Normally, the candidates would have their scripted answers, zingers, and “gotcha moments” planned out trying to get small clips to go viral on social media. What this could offer is a very straight forward discussion between two people without filters or candy-coated answers. Say what you want about Rogan himself, I think he could prepare questions and help guide these two along.
It’s not every day you get to hear two people like this just talk and have a discussion. Rogan himself has had on politicians like Bernie Sanders, Tulsi Gabbard, and Andrew Yang, and in their few hours you get to see these people for more as the person they are, and not the sound bites you hear repeated over and over.
It’d be something new and unprecedented, but 2020 has been an unprecedented year.
