Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck continue to get closer, with rumours that the pair may be more than just friends.

The duo have a history together, after having dated each other in the past. And now their interactions have gained further scrutiny as Ben was spotted at her house recently. Things have been made much more interesting by virtue of the pair being single. That has caused some of those within Jennifer’s inner circle to suggest they may still have a soft spot for each other.
An insider revealed: “People close to her won’t be surprised if they end up together.” So how realistic is this? Well, Jennifer and Ben have both recently walked away from two very difficult relationships. Jennifer, for her part, left Alex Rodriguez when it seemed that a wedding could be on the cards. Meanwhile, Ben broke up with Ana de Armas just when sources suggested that things were steaming up.
But that sense of heartbreak has rekindled some feelings from the past. Another source stated: “[Ben and Jennifer] had a heart-to-heart, and it reignited the spark between them.” Despite the positives coming out from the reports, there is a worry that this could be developing all a bit too quickly. It has barely been a few months since Jennifer and Ben broke up with their previous partners.
So to suddenly suggest that they have now rekindled a romance, which by all the accounts has come out of the blue, is very unlikely indeed. The pair would be better off staying as friends before deciding whether it is something they want to commit to. This is also crucial for the kids involved. Jennifer has children from her ex-husband Marc Anthony, and they had gotten to know Alex before their split.
That is why another male figure within their lives could be a bit too much. In addition, this same criteria applies to Ben. He shares kids with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. And given she has now rekindled her romance with John Miller, Ben’s kids would not want to see more instability by having an additional female figure within their lives.
This is all on top of Ben and Jennifer’s tendency to have short-term relationships. We will have to see how it will all play out.
